An International Youth Foundation Survey on barriers facing young social entrepreneurs found five key challenges:

Working in isolation without supportive networks and professional mentors;

 

Inadequate skills and gaps in knowledge of implementing their work to a sustainable level;

 

Skills and knowledge on how to lead;

 

Little access to peer-to-peer learning;

 

Chronic gaps in finance.

 

The 3 day conference provides local emerging and established young change makers the opportunity to improve their global network, peer connectivity, entrepreneurial skills, and capacity. It also provides a platform for participants to reignite their passion and share their journey with others.Young people will grow their awareness of issues facing their communities and other young people around the world, whilst learning about innovative youth-led solutions being implemented globally. Participants will have access to advice and mentoring from the experienced Global Fellows.
